What Is Red Light Therapy?

This revolutionary technology emits low-power red light wavelengths directly into the skin. It is a pain-free process, which cannot be felt as there’s no heat produced by the light.

While many companies refer to red light therapy as laser therapy, there are no lasers involved. The TheraLight 360 bed uses a Light Emitting Diode (LED) system that features LED panels. It is considered a ‘low light’ therapy, as the panels diffuse the light, rather than shooting it in a concentrated beam as would be done with a laser.

Can Red Light Therapy Help Me Sleep

A 2017 research study published in the Oxford Academic evaluated how exposure to light impacted sleep quality and sleep duration. It found that participants with less exposure to natural light had shorter rest periods and fewer REM (Rapid Eye Movement) cycles.

Due to the nature of our lives spent working indoors, adequate exposure to natural light can be difficult to obtain. Whole body Red Light Therapy can offer an effective way to give your body the light it needs to maximize your sleep, improve your mood and enhance your general well-being.

Why Whole Body Red Light Therapy

There are a variety of Red Light Therapy options available, ranging from whole body to spot treatment. The purpose of a whole body treatment is to maximize the effectiveness by giving your body the maximum dosage levels it needs.

While some red light therapy units may have panels as large as 5-6 feet, these don’t offer the same full body exposure as a 360 system.
